HHRPC Handgun Training

Aug 18, 2010

Hello All,

I thought it would be a good idea to supply a little information about myself for those who don’t know me.  I put together a document that tells some of my history along with the training courses I’ve taken.  Please check out Craig’s Bio if you are interested.

I have the ‘Handgun Training Page’ started and the first two classes defined.  The rest will be coming shortly, as will the other works-in-progress.

-tips on what to carry in a range bag

          -a list of training facilities

-a list of our favorite shooting supply websites

Keep checking back.

We are planning to setup a couple USPSA stages at the outdoor range on August 19th (meeting night).  The agenda will be posted on the main page soon.  Please plan to join us.  If you have any questions or ideas, send an email to:  c.hetisimer@hhrp.org

Thanks,

Craig Hetisimer

Safe and effective gun handling starts with a great understanding and adherence to the 4-Rules.  The link below will take you to a copy of them.  Please take the time to commit them to memory, as they are the foundation that we use to build our skills upon.  We will start and end each event with a review of them.

4-Rules Summary

The following link will take you to the ‘Handgun Training Page’.  Here you will find the course descriptions and prerequisites.  I am still working on the application forms but, for the first two classes (familiarization and BHHM1) we can start with emails.  I will schedule classes once sufficient interest has been expressed.

During our first event, there were a lot of questions about holsters so, I put the following paper together to provide some food for thought as one thinks through a holster purchase.
